Meet Dr. Jay Main
I love seeing people happy with their smiles and knowing I played a role in that happiness. It is an honor and a great responsibility to be trusted with a person’s oral health. Some of the most rewarding moments are when someone is scared, but we are able to gain their trust and take care of their oral health needs. Communication and making sure a patient understands what we are doing are crucial to building trust, regardless of their age.
My passion is to make a true difference in my patients’ lives, as well as in the lives of my staff. I hope to you meet you and your family soon, and welcome you into the Main and Palmer Family Dentistry family.

A native of Kansas, I graduated magna cum laude from MidAmerica Nazarene University with my bachelor’s degree, and attended UMKC School of Dentistry for my Doctorate of Dental Surgery. In 2009, I returned to the southwest Kansas area to join Dr. Grant Larkin in practice.

Family and Community
Outside of the dental practice, I am extremely active in my church. I am a board member, greeter, children’s church teacher, and small group leader. I enjoy coaching youth sports teams through Garden City Family YMCA and the Garden City Recreation Commission, including baseball, T-ball, basketball, football, and soccer. I also serve on the advisory board for Colby Community College’s dental hygiene program.
